What Is a Naturally Ventilated Poly House?
An NVPH is a large agricultural structure — typically 500 to 4,000 sq.m. — covered with UV-stabilised polyethylene film and fitted with insect-proof nets on all sides. Unlike climate-controlled greenhouses that run on electricity, an NVPH relies on natural airflow through roof vents and side curtains. The result: a protected growing environment that costs a fraction of a full greenhouse but delivers dramatically better yields than open-field farming.
Rain & Hail Protection
Poly film roof deflects all precipitation. Crops never get waterlogged or battered by unseasonal storms.
40-Mesh Insect Netting
Fine mesh on all sides blocks whitefly, thrips, and aphids — reducing pesticide use by 70–90%.
Temperature Moderation
Shade nets and natural ventilation keep daytime temps 4–6°C cooler than outside. Crops stress less, grow faster.
Drip Irrigation + Fertigation
Every plant gets measured water and nutrients through a drip line. Water usage drops by 60% compared to flood irrigation.
